SouthBARK is 100% volunteer and foster home operated.  Everyone plays a vital role is saveing the lives of dogs along the Gulf Coast of Alabama and Florida.  We need all the help we can get and there are many opportunities to utilize your special talents. Not everyone can or should foster, but there are so many ways you can help save homeless dogs and many can be done from the comfort of your own home online.  


Some ways you can help SouthBARK:

  • Share our posts on Facebook, such as Youcarings, Adoptable Dogs, etc.

  • Transport dogs from the shelter to the vet and then to their foster home.

  • Transport dogs from the Pensacola area to the Mobile area.

  • Transport dogs going North to meet theor volunteer transports or catch a plane.

  • Help with dog handling at adoption events.

  • Help by walking, bathing or helping socialize foster dogs,

  • Setting up or tearing down event equipment and merchandise.

  • Offer your IT or Webdesign expertise.

  • Offer to help with clerical work.

  • Make phone calls, return calls and/or respond to email.

  • Help maintain and update social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram,

  • Help coordinate out of area transports.

  • Assist the fundraising committee in planning and executing local fundraising events in the local area.
